Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to the File Deep Info application for iOS, iPadOS, macOS and Windows, the filedeep.info website, and support communications submitted through the website.

2. App file processing

Files you open, their contents, metadata, extracted structures, hashes, previews, and analysis results are processed locally on your device. We do not receive or store those files or results on our servers.

The app accesses a file only after you choose or open it. The permissions available to the app are controlled by your operating system.

3. Cleanup outputs and originals

When you remove supported metadata, File Deep Info asks you to save the result as a new copy. The cleanup workflow does not overwrite the original file. The destination and continued storage of both files remain under your control.

4. Purchases and store services

Downloads, trials, payments, receipts, and license records are handled by Apple or Microsoft under their respective store terms and privacy policies. We do not receive your full payment-card information.

5. Website analytics

The website uses Umami Cloud to understand aggregate traffic such as page views, referrers, browser, operating system, device type, and approximate country. Umami does not use cookies or cross-site tracking for this site. IP addresses may be used by the service to derive approximate location and session metrics but are not retained as raw IP addresses.

6. Support requests

If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, subject, and message you submit. The server also records the request IP address and submission time for delivery, abuse prevention, and security troubleshooting.

We use support information only to answer the request, maintain service security, and keep necessary business records. Do not send confidential file contents unless support explicitly asks for a safe diagnostic sample.

7. Sharing and retention

We do not sell personal information. Limited website and support data may be processed by service providers that host the website, deliver analytics, or transmit support email. We retain support records only as long as reasonably needed for the request, security, legal obligations, and service continuity.

8. Security and your choices

We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no device, email, or internet transmission is completely risk-free. You may avoid website analytics by using content-blocking controls, and you may contact us to ask about or request deletion of identifiable support correspondence where legally applicable.

9. Children

File Deep Info is a general utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the application.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the product, website, or legal requirements change. The revision date above identifies the latest version. Questions or privacy requests can be sent through the Contact page.
